The Whites!

Gunderloch, Red Stone, Germany (Riesling) - VND 240,000
A mineral, refreshing Riesling made by Gunderloch estate of Nackenheim on the banks of the River Rhine. It features flint and burnt match on the nose with honey, ripe apricot and peach as a backdrop. A sharp attack of crunchy green apples, lemon and ripe nectarine, followed by a clean finish.

Concha Y Toro, Terrunyo, Chile (Sauvignon Blanc) - VND 260, 000
Bright greenish-yellow in color. Very expressive character and elegant with delicate freshness and minerality. Highly complex. Good combination of herbal, gooseberry, lime, and grapefruit notes. Medium- to full-bodied with sweet ripeness, and sea and salty notes, chalky nuances, citrus, lemon curd, and herbal notes. Deep and lingering nish. Well-balanced, with crisp, juicy acidity.

Domaine Luneau-Papin, Le Verger, France (Muscadet) - VND 160,000
Excellent as an aperitif with shellfish, fish in a sea salt crust, roasted fillet of sea bream, Asian cuisine, or fresh cheeses.
This terrifically stony wine was a real favorite. Plus, the delightful label depicting Original Sin is extremely appropriate – this wine is so pure that it seems to go back to the origins of the terroir. Beware though, don’t expect a bunch of fruit, here you are on a rock overlooking the sea. The nose smells intensely of stones and petroleum, delivering a racy personality. The very saline palate emphasizes this idea of licking a pebble beach. A dream Muscadet.

The Reds!

La Vendimia, Rioja, Spain (Tempranillo, Garnacha) - VND 190,000
Alvaro Palacio can do anything, as illustrated by this delicious drop of garnacha and tempranillo from his home estate in Rioja Baja. There is a richness and roundness of texture that enthralls but without overwhelming the drinker. Juicy, earthy, red-fruited and spiked with mulberries and floral cherry notes that just keep pulling you back to the glass. So much so, before you know it the bottle is gone. La Vendimia, 'the harvest,' is a delicious joven, a young Rioja, made for simple foods. The fruit sits at some 500m and the estate-owned 10-to 40-year-old vines have been grown organically since 2003.

Guigal, Cotes Du Rhone, France (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre) - VND 210,000
Given that the Guigals have close relationships with some 80 farmers up and down the Rhône Valley, perhaps it’s not surprising that they make a good Côtes du Rhône red. Still, this one goes far beyond what you’d expect from the general appellation. The scent alone is enticing, warm and inviting in its complex mix of fruit, spice and earth; the flavors weave spice, earth and violet tones through vivid berry flavors. Sandy tannins keep the wine firm and lasting.

Trivento, Golden Reserve, Argentina (Malbec) - VND 260,000
A vigorous red with violet tints and an aromatic profile that expresses the sharpness of red fruits such as raspberries, blackberries. Intense and profound in the nose. Full body with vibrant tannins Round structure and a jucy finish.
Trivento Golden Reserve is from one of the most recognized wine region in the world. The grapes are sourced from Luján de Cuyo, the birthplace of Malbec and the first recognized place to produce elegant and complex malbec wines. Trivento Golden Reserve truly sets itself apart with fruits coming from vineyards over 80 years old, enhancing the wine complexity, concentration and elegance. Consistently awarded 90+ Pts from major wine publications, Trivento Golden Reserve aspires to be the Argentine ambassador of super premium, high quality wine.
